Cats

These are common visitors to the garden and all belong to neighbours - who ask you not to feed them.

Some cats are well cared for, others less so. Those in particular have left infestations of fleas in the past, which is why we now have less-inviting rubber mats in front of the doors.
(Several years ago visitors were unpleasantly surprised by mulitple flea bites.)

So please do not encourage the cats in any way.
A wise precaution is to remove the cushions from the terrace chairs when they are not in use and store them in the house: after all, you do not want to sit on a nest of fleas!

Another tip is to ensure there is nothing for the cats to lick at the end of a grill.
Forget this and there are greasy paw prints to remove the next morning.
