Fireplace
The fire is easy to light, just use small pieces of wood and a firelighter. Do not use paper. After several days' use, it may be necessary to empty the ashes. When the fireplace is cold, simply remove the grid on which the logs burn and the ash tray can be lifted out.
Ashes remain hot for a long time, so it is best to put them on the top garden next to the fig tree - this way there is no chance of them setting fire to the plastic rubbish bin!
Firewood, kindling and firelighters can be bought at various shops in the village. (Please do not use ours.)
Rubbish
The rubbish bin is on the Via Cantalupo beneath the large palm tree. It is emptied several times a week. Please tie rubbish bags securely to reduce smell and always close the lid of the bin.
