We enjoy cooking, as you will soon see from the way the kitchen is equipped.

Here you will find everything you need: from a range of quality knives (and every kitchen should have at least two oyster knives!) to pasta and ice-cream machines and a truffle grater.

The hob has five gas-rings and is set into the granite working surface.

Switching on the hob lights and fan

The gas hob is illuminated by the extractor fan above it. But before either fan or lights can be used they have to be switched on.
The switch is next to the electrical socket on the back of the bar, shown here.

No, we did not intend to have this arrangement, but it is one of the few mistakes which inevitably occur during major building alterations.

There are many cookery books (English, German and Italian) on the bookshelves to whet your appetite.

In the garden there are herbs and fruit, depending on season. Guests are welcome to take what they need for daily use (but please do not harvest to take home). Local shops are full of wonderful vegetables: here are a few recipes.

The grill in the garden offers further culinary possibilities.
