Stop! - Building has started!
At last. Admittedly it is over six months later than should be - but at least now, mid-April, it has started.

The scaffolding grows - here seen from the road below the house.

On the first floor will be one of the large bedrooms.
Below will be the guest bathroom.

The north side of the house.
The large hole in the wall is where Signorina Rina once had her kitchen alcove.
In the middle of the wall is the door which will be the new main entrance.

Behind the guesthouse, the old garden sheds have already been demolished.
This is where the carport will stand.
The lower wall is being reinforced to secure the new drive from the road.

Those who already know our house will recognise the kitchen. This is also being completely renovated and enlarged.
On the right was the old tall kitchen cupboard with the blue doors. This is now where the new entrance to the kitchen is from the front door.
On the right the old stairs can be seen. These, together with the wall behind them, will be taken down to create the new, larger living-room.
