The coast, in particular the new cycle track towards Ventimiglia, is for those who take it more lightly.
Currently it begins in San Lorenzo und runs to San Remo.
Bikes can be hired in San Lorenzo, Santo Stefano and San Remo.

Warning to drivers

The narrow roads in the hills are popular with cyclists, so drive knowing that one or several may suddenly appear around a sharp bend, hurtling downhill.

It is similar in the towns with the motor scooters. Do not be surprised to suddenly find yourself overtaken, from either side, by youngsters on a Vespa determined not to be late.
