Winter sunshine

Winter in Liguria is a very pleasant time. Although the snow-covered mountains are clearly visible only a few kilometres away, the coast is still mild. Only rarely does the temperature sink to freezing-point, which is why we can keep the bougainvillea in the garden.

This picture, taken on Christmas Eve, shows typical weather. We often take something to read and spend an hour or two on the beach, or walk up into the olive groves.

And when the weather is wet and cold, as it sometimes is, our house has central heating and a fire-place to keep you cosy.
